who we are
_ the face of the producers and their partnerships _

Coletivo Vibra was born from a joint desire to boost independent arts in Rio de Janeiro. The meeting of the three producers took place in artistic circles in which they were already inserted, and the idea of creating some kind of collective or producing company emerged in 2019. In 2020, when Letícia Paixão returned from an exchange program, the producers got together again and finally set up Coletivo Vibra - formed by Letícia Paixão, Mar and Caro Petersen.
The idea of the Coletivo has always been to boost independent artistic careers and promote the "new artists" of our generation through different types of projects that would act in 3 proposals: the independent artist, independent arts and the city.
THE INDEPENDENT ARTIST
Empowerment of the independent artist's metier, through services provided to artists, such as:
project development, press, career planning/organization, agent-work.
INDEPENDENT ART
The promotion of independent art with the purpose of exchange between artists, through projects such as: soirees, panels, events between artists.
THE CITY
The dissemination of independent arts to the public, by occupations of the city, through
events, shows, exhibitions, workshops.
Two weeks before Coletivo Vibra's debut soiree, Brazil went into lockdown on account of the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19. Vibra had to adapt to the new times, reformulating its proposals and continuing with its debut and productions online . During 2020, Coletivo Vibra produced xx projects, including services provided to artists and their own projects. In early 2021, the producers decided to take a break to explore their own paths, and then relaunch Vibra even stronger later on.
Today, one of the producers, Caro Petersen, is living in Denmark, and intends to restart the works of Coletivo Vibra as a branch in Europe.
CARO PETERSEN
Graduated in Social Communication from UFRJ, Caro Petersen is an artistic producer from Rio de Janeiro. She started her professional career working with audiovisual productions and soon expanded to other artistic media.
As a child, Caro experimented with many types of art: dance, drama, music, visual arts. She soon discovered a passion for the arts in general, and followed her heart in producing and promoting the independent art. In 2019, Caro took part in a "Music Business" course, at Vivo Rio Academy.
"The world of independent arts inspires me a lot. There are so many talented artists producing amazing works, and it bothers me a lot that people don't have their eyes on what's being produced locally."

"I've already had some experience with online portals when I was younger. The one that worked out best was Revista Vinil - in partnership with a few friends from my university at the time - where we wrote about the local music scene and featured emerging artists. Then I dived into audiovisual productions, focusing on sound recording and mixing. I've done some work as screenwriter and director as well. My most recent audiovisual works were directing music videos. In 2019, I worked as public relations, in charge of social media and external communications at the Brazillian brach of The Danish Cultural Institute. As soon as I left the post, I was faced with the opportunity to create our beloved Coletivo Vibra."
LETÍCIA PAIXÃO
Letícia has always been surrounded by friends from different artistic fields, but she has a greater affinity for music, an area in which she invested a long time of study. Business Administration graduate at UFRJ, she has been conducting her research in Cultural Organizations.
"I perceive a certain lack of awareness of the space that the arts currently occupy. Not to mention how important it has always been, but at the same time undervalued. It is such a critical and metamorphic field, capable of defining and adapting to different situations! Everyone consumes art, but it lacks a movement that recognizes and strengthens those who produce it."

"I stepped into producing in 2013 by parachuting into practice and, little by little, I discovered what this work really means. I have followed my path mainly dealing with the communication of artists and independent music groups. Between 2013 and 2018, I worked with the vocal groups Subversos and Consoantes, and the band Guaporés.
Then, in 2019, I worked in the Coordination of Cultural Activities of the Center for Legal and Economic Sciences at UFRJ , where I explored the more institutional side of production. There, I had the opportunity to create and develop my own project within the University: the CCJE Choir .
Currently, in addition to running Coletivo Vibra with Caro and Mar, I am part of the collective and band Banda Peruá. "
MAR
Mar is a performance artist, producer, researcher and journalist. He began his work in cultural production at school, Colégio Pedro II, in music festivals. Dedicated to the creation of performance experiments in the city of Rio de Janeiro, he based his research in arts, politics, street and life. Graduate of Social Communication at UFRJ.
"Art is a collective desire to imagine another reality. A living possibility of finding other forms of sociability. For that, spaces for encounters and common times must be created. These are the essential conditions for the broader sense of community, of politics. To vibrate the arts is, therefore, desiring the (im)possible."

“My path as a producer started in 2012 at Colégio Pedro II, in the production of the FESTCOR music festival. There, I worked in the conceiving, planning and production coordination. And since then, I develop such functions in independent music groups. I was part of the production team of Coral Altivoz in projects such as the #AltivozNoMéxico campaign and the musical show Todos os Santos. Still in the vocal world, I was the executive producer of the music video Ô Mainha by the vocal group Consoantes . And currently, I'm a producer for the collective and band Banda Peruá and their concert Caindo Por Terra ."
